Question 97 powerstroke/automatic tranny acts like a manual when stopping and dies

my 97 f350 powerstroke has an automatic and when i come to a stop light it acts like a manual would if you didn't push the clutch in. it will try to push the truck or kill the motor. also the o.d. light flashes here and there and sometimes acts like you have it in neutral till you shut off the truck and start it back up. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP

From what you are describing is sounds like it is in full lock... Its either the TC itself or the lockup solenoid...
