shifting hard into second. normal?
My tranny shifts hard into second is this normal? Not really hard but you can feel a kick. All the other gears are super smooth but the truck has the original transmission with 243,000 on it.

No, but if you have any tuning it could be firming up the shift.

No tuning (yet) but I have noticed if I'm barely on the skinny pedal thats when it dhifts hard but if I get on it shifts smooth. And why does it shift into 3rd really early sometimes it barely even goes through 2nd and the TC locks and won't shift down and bog it down to like 1100 rpms and not even shift down.

broken accumulator springs or clutches worn to metal.

Mine does the exact same thing.....mine is also original with 274,000. Did you ever find a cause or fix for this?????? Any help would be great.

I just noticed its only when I'm barely in the throttle but if its around 2000 rpms its doesnt do it.

I'm rig is actually a E-350 and all it was used for was delivering wedding cakes. Think I don't get is sometimes it shifts fine......if I get on it and let it shift all gear, it shift perfectly smooth.
I'm going to replace the CPS and VSS and see what happens... |
