converter not un locking??

when the truck is warm and coming to a stop the idle drops to 450-500 then back up to normal how can I test to see if it is the converter not unlocking did a test coming down the off ramp I put it in neutral and it does the same thing ??

A scan tool should be able to tell you if the converter is locked. Otherwise, hookup a led to the TC lockup wire to see when it's locked up.

Not sure in my AE how to check it you know how good their instructions are. Anyway I put it in reverse and it died twice??And if I pull it down to low it tries to stall out then jumps back up to 750 rpms I can feel something letting lose when it does it.

cratos, those are classic symptons of a pump with cross leaks. Get the pump replaced before it kills the converter.
