Transmission swap info needed, please

I have a 95 F-350 Powerstroke with an auto trans, I'm thinking from what I've looked up it is a E4OD. It shifts real hard.
I can get a nice rebuilt E4OD from a 90 f-350 that had a 460 gas burner in it.
My question is will the trans from the 460 fit my diesel?

Sorry if this is a stupid questio, but I'm new to the diesel side of things.

No. the diesel has different size dowel pin.

dowel pin,,, the alighnment pin for trans to engine. Very critical.
