shfting into 2nd

Well I had a new transmission installed last July in my 97 auto. Everything has worked well but the last week I have noticed that sometimes it has trouble shifting into 2nd gear,I do have a Bully Dog chip but it is set in the stock position since the Trans tech says that is what screwed up the last one. Any ideas guys?

Is the O/D light flashing at all? You should have it scanned either way... Also, you can have someone with a snap-on scanner or AutoE check the solenoid function to see if that may be the issue. There are a number of things that contribute to shift oddities, so I would start there and see where it leads. I have a brand new solenoid block if that turns out to be the issue, would let it go for $100.

Well here is an up date on my problem, ford said last week that they didn't know why the trans won't shift into second sometimes but will replace any worn parts and try it out, well after doing that and keeping the truck for four weeks they can't figure it out so Ford will install a new transmission under warranty, never expected that So maybe I will get big red back sometime next week.
