OD Light Flashing Code P0708 Help Please

Had my 97 F250 4x4 PSD since Sept. All was working fine including transmission. Went away a few weeks and when I came back in the cold and snows of January and started truck up the O/D light started flashing. Truck still drove but was shifting hard (prob "limp mode"). Truck drove forward and reverse but I didnt take it to higher speeds of course.

Got myself an AE Scantool and during KOEO test I am pulling code P0708 : Trasnmission Range Sensor Circuit High Input.
Also did KOER test and got code P1705 : Transmission Range circuit not indicating Park/Neutral during self test.

Have researched OD flashing here a little and have thus far checked fuses in dash panel - All Good. And have also pulled the connector on pass side of tranny to check for corrosion/broken pins etc. No obvious corrosion and was able to feel inside connector and counted all pins as being in place and sprayed some WD in there. Still getting both the codes.

I know there are a few other connections I can check but is there something in particular about this code that I should know? Any advice and guidance greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check the connection at the range senor or replace the sensor.

Thanks for the advice.

I have a new Manual Lever Parking Switch (MLPS) in hand and am going to change it out.

Any advice or instructions on how to do this? IIs it as easy as it looks? 3 bolts?

Thanks

K

Yep, it's that easy. 3 bolts, cable, and connector.
