DP Tuner Trans Question.

I bought a 97 F-250 and was told the E40d was just rebuilt and had a shift kit installed at the same time. The owner did not know what kind of shift kid, torque converter or other internals that were installed with the rebuild. I want to order a DP tuner but I wanted to know if he will need this info to get a proper tune or if it doesn't matter.
