Fresh Tranny shift problem

Just bought a E40D tranny with 1000 miles on it, worked good for another 500 and now it isnt shifing untill it gets to about 2000-2500 RPM. Tranny is at normal temp. Could it be electrical? TC?

Trans problem

Can you pull the codes to see if there are any transmission codes? Is the SES light one? I could be a solenoid or a bad wire or connection, a sticky valve in the valve body. something on the road hit my wire harness going into the trans and broke 3 wires, it shifted funny but still worked. It showed codes that said the shift solenoid was not there but I fixed the wires and its good to go.

Yeah thanks man ill check it out, also my girlriend starts it up in the morning cold takes off and she said the idle was dropping and going up, like it was dieing out and i test drove it the next morning and it did the same thing, put the pedal to the floor and it stayed at the same rpm, let off the throttle the truck died. Any ideas?? im wondering if it could be realted to my tranny shift problem.
