CRACK

I broke my truck yesterday I broke the piece of cast between the trannie and transfercase wHat should I do buy a new part or get it welded and if anyone has some free time could you guys try to find the part online somewhere and get me a price......I would do this my self but im stuck in school right now

It looks like that thing has been broken for a while. About half of the break looks like it is old, and half looks like it is new.

You won't be able to weld that and hope that it will be reliable. Brian's Truck Shop has billet versions of that part, but I'm sure he's pretty proud of them. If's he's selling the billet ones though, he might have he OEM kind to sell too.

I can't tell is that the tailshaft that goes between the trans and tcase. If so I have one.

Its the casing around the shaft between the trans and t-case.

It's called the extintion housing.
Most trans shops will have a replacement in their core pile. Is the output shaft bent from the T-case hanging on it?
