What is wrong with this E4OD
As many of you know i just bought a 95 flatbed with a 7.3. Also some of you know im having tranny problems already. I called the guy i bought it from and left him a message with some BS about business problems and not bein able to keep it and if he would get ahold of the others that were interested. So if that doesn't work, i need to know what to do to fix this.
In the forward gears it seems to work fine, shifts are firm. It does seem to take a while to go to 3rd gear some times though. The big problem though is when its in reverse it sounds like the torque converter is trying to lock. It will bog down. Some times it will stall out. So i need to know what the possible causes of this are, and how to fix them, and how much it will cost.

TC seems fine goin forward. It locks up fine. Don't know why its trying to lock in reverse though.

maybe just the clutchs in reverse goin out.

Well some trans shops will fix just the problem with out trying to do the whole thing.
