5spd reverse is about gone. who can help

i got a 95 7.3 5spd the only way i can get reverse is if i shut it off. everything else works good. so i guess its the syncro. can this be fixed easily? will the trans have to be pulled? or is this something you can get to? how much am i lookin at here? i live in butler pa. anyone local that can be recomended?

Ya sounds like your sync's are shot. Sorry to tell ya that will need to be pulled to be fixed. As far as trans work goes there are much more expensive things out there so I hope that sets you at ease.

hey rick call joes tranny he is in saxonburg thats where i got my rebuilt at or like 1150ish with my old one as a core i am sure he will just rebuild yours to great guy to deal with top notch work imo lil slow sometimes but the price and quality are great his number is 724-352-4525 call me if you want

Before you do anything check the clutch pedal bushings. Mine was doing the same thing. Replaced the clutch pedal bushing in about 10 mins and it works perfect.

i never though about that but i just did mine it is a 9.97 part from shults in wexford they have them in stock unless i bought the last one lol it is really easy to do i did mine in their driveway lol
