E4OD code P0500 Hard shift OD light blinking

96 PSD w/ E4OD code P0500 Hard shift OD light blinking - I have replaced the sensor in the rear end and the pigtail - What is next ? Does the P0500 refere to the sensor in the rear end ot in the tranny ?

hey mike, did you ever figure out your prob? i have the same prob, changed vss and pigtail, accelerator position sensor, fluid and filter. seems to do it more when it rains, but have checked the wiring throughout the frame for the vss. bout at wits end with mine. gonna try the position sensor on the side of the trans next...

When ever I seen a blinking OD light it is a blown trans. Or an internal sensor.
