I have a 96 psd 4x4 auto. The tranny has been going for about 2 years. Scared to really drive it far. And I don't really wanna get a rebuilt intill it fails. Problem is it acts and runs fine. It has a problem where it wont go when hot etc....
But while looking on craiglsist I came upon a used e4od. That claims to have 1000 on a rebuilt (by cottman idk how good those rebuilts are),

this trans came out of a 1994 ford f250 with a 7.3 non turbo 4wd. trans was rebuilt by cottman 1000 miles before the truck fell apart. trans comes with transfer case and front shaft. Also have torque converter.

Its out a non turbo 94. I was wondering if it should fully work in my 96 (being electric and all) if the pcms and such will work property.
Im gonna call tomorrow but for $600 it seems to be a good replacement since I don't tow or anything.
