Clutch repair
Well, this truck has been getting pretty expensive and I've only had the truck for a month...
![]() I'm pretty sure my throwout bearing took a big crap today. 1. How difficult is it to drop the transmission on a 96 f250 2wd with the manual transmission in it. It doesn't LOOK bad, but a couple of the bolts on the top look pretty tough to get at. 2. If I decide to get a mechanic to do it, how much should I expect to pay? Thanks for the advice!!! |

Paying a mechanic to do it would be the easy way but will cost a good bit. If you do it it is not to bad but I would recommend a extra hand to help stab the trans. There are a few bolts that are tough to get but if you have skinny arms or a good extension and a swivel it should be fairly easy.
