fuel bowl heater

Just changed my filter and noticed my heating element is gone. Now my problem the replacment elements look nothing like the original. are they just updated ones or do they have wrong part number. I've tried A&A, Napa and autozone. they all have the same replacement part. They have one that looks alot beefier than the one in my truck. any help would be appreciated

They are updated. They're the same as the Super Duty style, which are less likely to burn out like ours do. The old one should have been a flat plate with a wire soldered to it, the new ones are just a black tube looking thing running around the outside.

I ripped mine out when I did my fuel bowl cleanse. No issues since.
