Truck shut off and won't start.

Read last paragraph for main question.

I have a 97 f250 and long story short, I pulled both of the batteries for about an hour or two to test something today. I wired them so I got 24v and happened to fry what I was testing but it didn't matter. So I put the batteries back in. I was also looking at the fuel heater in the bowl.

So I then took it for a test drive and ran fine until not even a minute down the road and it shut off. I actually even got it on film but I can't figure out how to post a video.

It will crank but not even try to fire. It's not showing any rpm's while cranking. No wait to start light when first turn key on. No check engine light but the overdrive light is lit very dim. I'm thinking something to do with the chip/pcm. It just has a singe position chip. I don't know much about it. I'm a fairly new owner and am still learning the truck. I thought cps because of no rpm's showing but no wait to start light means computer I think. Any other ideas? Thanks.

No the truck never saw 24v. And I am gonna pull the chip. It has been running rough lately when really cold. Sometimes I get a check engine light and barely even stays running for the first couple starts. Thanks.

Just read about a fuse that controls the fuel heater and the pcm. I was messing with the fuel heater wire so the fuse may have blown causing the pcm to shut down causing the no wait to start light. Will double check the fuses.
