Question Starter freezing up

Its gotten really cold the last few days and now my starter will only click when I go to start it. But when I crawl under the truck and jump the solenoid for a second to let it spin then get back out and turn the key it will start. Also When I turn the truck off after running it for an bit then turn it back on it will fire right up. It was a brand new starter two years ago. So I guess my starter is freezing up? Anyone have this problem before?

Check your wiring from the battery to the starter. Also from the solenoid to the starter. But it does sound like you are in for a starter

Trucks and parts............

As stated double check all the connections. Take the battery cables off and clean everything real well. But it might be time for another starter or batteries possibly.
