Need Help fast, no oil pressure

First things first, i have search and could not find the thread although i remember reading it before.

I did an oil change and added new filter with proper amount of oil. Fired up the truck with no issues however, the oil pressure gauge is reading zero. It worked before so i am fairly sure the gauge is good.

I know there is oil pressure as my girl starts and runs great. I recall a method being discussed that brings this up but can't find it. Pleeeeeeeease help me.

Just note that the gauge is a glorified idiot light. The sender on the top of the HPOP reservoir is only a switch and not a sending unit that varies resistance with oil pressure. You can try removing the wire from the switch and grounding it. The gauge should read roughly mid-scale. If it doesn't, there's a problem with the wiring or the gauge itself. If it does, the switch could be bad. Cheers!
