Inconsistant Idle 7.3

Hey guys, picked up my first powerstroke a couple weeks ago, 97 obs 7.3. while warming up in the morning im noticing a rough idle. It is very difficult to pick out and none of my buddys can hear it but since i listen to the truck warm up every day ive noticed it. The truck seems to run perfect while driving, no issues with that, just that it has a very slight inconsistent idle when warming up. Is this just because it is cold? (30 degrees F). Any input or things to check would be awesome thanks guys.

It could also just be normal, diesel engines naturally run a little rougher when cold, especially powerstrokes with the HEUI system.

While its running rough: is there any smoke? how long does it take to run smooth again? loss of power?

If you have a scanner check for codes, run a buzz test and go from there.
