No start, at wits end.

1996 F-350 crew cab, auto and 7.3, 145k miles spins but won't start.
The WTS light comes on, tach at about 200 rpm when cranking. I checked the HPOP and it was about 1/2 quart low, topped it off. Pulled the ICP and it had oil on it, but no change when plug is hooked up or not. Have about 48 psi at the Schrader valve on the FPR. Pulled the FPR and screen is clean. Drained the fuel bowl and cleaned it out and put in a new filter. It fills nicely when cranked. A very little bit of white smoke comes out of the tailpipe when cranking. I took the box (IDM?) off the driver side wheel well and shook it for water, but heard nothing.
It was running 2 weeks ago when I changed a leaking brake line. I drove it and it ran fine, then parked it. I went out Saturday and noticed I left the glove box open and the little bulb ran the batteries down. They are about 2 years old. I charged them up and tried to start it, but no start.
I'm thinking the IPR may be stuck. I changed the rings on it about 6 years ago. I pulled the IPR, took it apart and cleaned it real good, put new orings on it and still no start. A shot of ether will make it fire off, but dies.
Any ideas? I'm about ready to have it towed to a mechanic if I can find one.
Thanks for any input

Went back out, drained the fuel bowl. Cranked and cranked then pulled the fuel filter, NO fuel! Guess it's a fuel pump? When I put the IPR in, I filled the bowl half full. Wouldn't that allow it to start? I had 48psi on the shrader valve earlier ??? Thanks for any ideas.

Does the fuel from the tank come into the bottom of the FPR? I think I should get the incoming fuel line off to see if the pump is shot, just don't know where to tap in to it. The book I have shows nothing, maybe the FPR is clogged? I did clean the screen.

What's the fuel pressure now when you are cranking? Do you have access to any of the scan tools?

Did the HPOP stay full?

I put a new fuel pump on today, and have about an hour to hook everything back up. I quit for the day, back is killing me. I'll post what the fuel pressure is tomorrow when I crank it up, hope it starts. I have no access to scan tools.
Thanks for the reply.

New fuel pump in, no start, no fuel in reservoir, no pressure at the shrader valve, no idea.
Anyone have an idea what to do next?

Took the FPR off the side of the bowl, cleaned it up real good, re-installed and now I get plenty of fuel, but still no start.

Had it towed to the shop for them to scan it for codes. Maybe they will figure out something.

No Start

Check your fuse I forget which on think it's 25
Check Hpop Res Level By Removing Plug should be almost to top
Also check IPR Nut not the FPR but the IPR which should be below & right of fuel bowl when looking at front of engine.

Scan & check ICP pressure see what codes you get.

If no communication the fuse or pcm is out.

Make sure no sensor plugs are unplugged.

If your gonna spray ether disable glow plugs or else you can hurt your engine.
