Oil pressure question

I have a thread open about my no start on my 97 but thought I get quick answer by making new one, sorry in advance.

My 97 powerstroke, I read no oil pressure on dash gauge, took filter off engine and turn engine over and no oil pumps out. My question is ; shouldn't it be pissin all over the ground with filter removed?

Yes it should be making a mess. LPOP gone bad maybe? I'm assuming your oil level is good. Cheers!
