UVC Gaskets

Since my electrical thermal event last night I am going to have to replace the UVC gasket. The diesel place here local has Doorman(?) are they any good? or should I order International parts? I really want to suport a sponsor so Im open to suggestions

Thanks

A couple of the issues I've heard of with the Dorman kits is some mis-pinned UVCH's (wires in wrong positions) and one guy had continuity issues with the gasket when torqued down (good connection untorqued and bad when torqued). I used the Dorman kit on my 94 with no issues, but I prefer the factory stuff (Ford/IH). Cheers!

I dont know what a thermal electrical necesarily is. If its when the uvch burns and kills your injectors then i jsut replac e the same thing. Grabbed the parts from NAPA had to cut out the old males and splice in new ones hooked it all up running fine for a old powerstroke. But thats the only generic auto parts store i coud find that part.

I put them in mine just the other month and no issues, so I can't complain, but I haven't put many miles on it since.

hey speaking of all that when i spliced into the original wiring harness there was a cable weaving in between the injector/glow plug wires under the aluminum shielding strip stuff. What is that cable for?

It is a ground wire for the high voltage, just unwrap it, splice all the wires together, rewrap the cable and go on about business.
