Water in Fuel

The truck will be doing fine driving along and then it start missing and sputtering and smoking. Sometimes it will go dead, sometimes Ill floor it and it will pick back up and run normal again. The "water in fuel" light came on right by the "wait to start" light, but went right back off. Im going to put some fuel treatment in it, but is there other things I can do to either remove the water or fix this problem. The previous owner says it would do it every now and then to him, but it seems to be doing it more ofter here lately to me.

Just throwing this out, Im not a pro here by any means. I ended up with some watered down diesel last year. It took me a couple of days of driving with the treatment in the deisel to get the water out. It wasnt a immediate fix, you may also want to drain the water seperator. You may want to rethink where your buying your diesel in the future to.
