How hard is to remove the rad upper crossmember?

How hard is to remove the rad upper crossmember? think of pulling engine for a rebuild but the roof in my garage is only 8', If I removed this crossmember and grille I could save alot of hight. Any help would be great

Just remove the whole radiator support. remove batteries, bumper, grille, headlight assemblies, headlight support (or whatever its called), radiator, move A/C condenser, etc. Then remove the rad support. I probably left something out, but you get the idea. Cheers!

There is no "upper support" the rad support tis all ONE PIECE

Remove
Bumper
grill
header panel
A/C condensor
radiator
Fender bolts
Rad support nuts

it is about a 2-3 hour job.

I would skip all the extra work and just pull the engine

I would if I taugh my jack and roof were big enough, only have a 8' ceiling and a 1500lbs engine crane

Engine only weighs 920lbs. How high is your truck lifted?

33" tires is the only thing, Just want to make sure I have the height. Be a pain if I have it out and I run out of room and my engine crane loses mechanical advantange the farther i put the ram out. 1000lb wouldn't be to bad just the secound notch down

If you are really worried(I would not be) pull the WHOLE front clip off. Easier that just the rad support
