Crank and crank and crank but no start

Hello all.My truck is driving me crazy.My problem started back in August.I took my truck('97 F 250 w/7.3 powerstroke)into town.Shut it off and I couldn't get it started again.Cranked and cranked and cranked on it but no start.Had it towed into a local shop I dealt with in the past.After sitting at the shop for 3 weeks I was told it needed a new HPOP.2 weeks later I got my truck back made it 10 miles down the road shut the engine off and it would not start again.Called the shop up and they sent a guy out with a can of ether and got me going again.Since then I've changed both fuel filters,replaced the under valve cover wiring harness,replaced the glow plugs,and replaced the lift pump.Truck started fine for 3 weeks after I got it back now its doing the same thing.Crank and crank and crank and will not start Not even any white smoke coming out of exhaust.Help.

Back to the basics:
* WTS light coming on?
* Tach movement while cranking?
* Have you looked in the HPOP reservoir for the oil level?

Most likely culprits for a no-smoke no-start situation are the #22 fuse from the fuel bowl heater touching the fuel bowl, or the cam position sensor. My money is on the Cam sensor, because in the 6 months that I've owned my Powerstroke, I've had it go out, then go out again.

If the WTS light is on, fuse #22 is good. WTS on plus no tach --> if it's not the CPS, then you can expect purple frogs to fall from the sky.
