Probably a dumb question....
Ok like I said, I know this is probably a dumb question but I never got an owners manual with my truck and all my friends have SDs. I know there is a fuel filter on top of the motor in the valley but I have heard that there is another fuel filter somewhere under the truck and I don't know where. If anyone could let me know if I'm right or wrong that'd be awesome. And pictures help even more
Thanks guys

Crawl under the truck at the drivers side door. Follow your fuel lines and you can see it.

OOps just noticed this is under the 7.3...in that case I have no idea!

7.3 fuel filters
Use that google search box at the top of these web pages. It works really well. A lot better than most search functions on most forums. I didn't know about till I was on here a couple years. Try it out, you'll like it. |

That link is wrong, too. There are screens on the pickups in the tanks. There's the tank switching valve on the frame. Then there's the filter bowl and pump up in the valley. That's it.
Owner's manuals are cheap on eBay, and prob. free at the boneyard if you can find one. There are diesel and 4x4 supplements, and they're actually quite informative. |
