Broke armature screw

I've been suspecting a bad injector on my truck so yesterday I got a temp gun and checked the temp of each cyl at the manifold, the #8 was way colder than the rest so I pulled the valve cover. I started it up and unplugged each injector 1 at a time. The #8 didn't cause any change when unplugged so I knew that was the problem. Today I decided to take off the solenoid to swap it with one from one of the other injectors to see if it was the problem. I took the #8 sol. off and I found the head to the armature screw sitting there. I took the plate off and got the rest of the screw out. Im getting new injectors so I'm not too concerned about the broken one but im just wondering what causes them to break? Also, where can I buy a new screw to replace the broken one? I found a website a while back that had all the parts for powerstroke injectors but I can't find it again.

I found a place to buy the screw. I guess ill get a couple and put one in the injector and see if it starts working again.

Whats the site? i Kind of want to rip into some of these injectors and see what is actually involved in the 1200$ that it costs to have them gone through.

I feel like you could make a flow test bench out of a set of heads. to watch spray patterns ect.

Finditparts.com and exportdiesel.com have injector parts. Neither are the site I found a while back but they'll work. I just typed in the part number for the screw on google and went to those two sites.
I typed in dps0010 injector screw.

Hate to go off topic here lol, what do you have done to your truck? pics

5 speed auto? 2wd 4wd? lifted? tires? I know its a crew cab, thats about it.

It's a 4x4 95' f350 black crew cab long bed, 5 speed tranny, black 16.5x12 rims with 37x12 military tires. TS chip, tymar intake, intercooler installed but pipes not in yet, 3 1/2" down pipe to 4" straight pipe and 6" tip. I feel like I'm missing something... It'll come to me if I am. I only have a few pics of it, I haven't transferred my other pics from my other phone. Here's a couple.

Thanks! I haven't had any problems with it other than can shaft sensors and my ipr came unplugged once and it took me a day or so to figure it out. The injector going out is the first real problem I've had with it so far.

What a nice truck.......... only thing i would trade my setup for would be cclb....use the long bed to much to run a short bed. Wouldn't leave the 5 speed for anything.
