Belt Tensioner

I'm getting a squeak coming from my serpentine belt, sounds like from around the tensioner. Also, the tensioner is bouncing up and down quite a bit when the engine is running.

I just had the belt off to change the waterpump and all the pulleys seem to be in good shape. Looks like I need a new tensioner?

Any insight? Thanks guys

mine was doing that too. I replaced the tensioner, by the way you have to get the mount and all. Can't just replace the pully as I thought. Started making noise again a couple weeks ago and found out it may have been the new belt making the noise. I was also told it's normal for the tensioner to move. I noticed also that the insulation on the underside of the hood was rubbing on the belt when the hood was closed. Anyway, I haven't heard that noise since I taped the insulation up out of the way.

Unfortunately mines doing it with the hood open so it can't be the insulation
