can u recommend scan tool??
what kind of scan tool should i buy??

If you have a laptop then about the best thing you can buy is "AutoEngenuity" program. It is just like a scan tool and like a snap-op or the like super expensive ones, this program will do everything that the Dealership can do. Here is a link but I've seen cheaper. Sometimes you'll find guys that sell their trucks and don't need it anymore and can get them in the neighborhood of $200.

Not really. I needed a $150 code reader just to read the codes. Doesn't do anything else. Youll find that most auto parts scanners won't even try to comunicate with our trucks. Cheap in is cheap out bud.
