crank no start

Ok here we go its a 96 eclb psd. I have a no start issue after i let the truck sit for 2 days it will not start. Smokes white while cranking. It will only start when i open the fuel bowl drain and crank it then it fires right up. Not sure what it is maybe the fuel filter or fpr screen? I just dont know ive had the truck 3 months ive never changed the fuel filter so maybe i should just start there. Idk

If it's smoking white while cranking, it seems like it would be a glowplug system related problem. On the first start of the day, have you tried jumping the GPR's large terminals for a bit? Cheers!
