running cold
Hey Guys Im having a lil problem. Truck starts and runs fine but I have to idle it for 15 mins before I can drive it. I know the EBPV is opening slowly but then even after it opens the truck runs roughly till it gets up to normal running temp. Then everything is fine. Whats your ideas ? Thanks in advance for the help.

How cold is it outside? I'm thinking that your truck is fine, it's just not liking the cold.

Just curious. If weather is like 30-40 degree in morning. Is 15 min warm up enough? I always run about 20-25 min before I leave.

This happened all summer, its just gotten worse with the cooler weather. Oil is Rotela 15 40 is and always has been. Mileage is iffy. I figure 400 to 450,000. But the odometer is metric and its failed to turn more than once. Like the last time I was @399,999.9 it turned and went back to 300,000 K. 300,00 K = 187,00 miles and I drive 180, 200, 205 or 300 miles a day. And this truck is a 96

Mileage on oil I mean.
I usually let mine warm up 15 or so, but drive it easy until it's warmer. I made my Samsung SGH-I997 send this. |
