14.50 into this video...What part is this?
That is sticking out of the inside of the oil filter housing. I need the name and part number if possible. I believe it is the Oil Pressure Regulator but cannot find any part by that name...
Thanks guys!! |

Do you mean the part that he is lowering down from the engine compartment and catching underneath the truck?

NOT the Oil cooler fellas, if you read my post you would see that I was referring to a part in the filter housing often times referred to as the "Oil Pressure Regulator".
If I was referring to the Oil cooler I wouldn't have had to wait until 14.50 into the video. lol |

All I see at 14:50 is the guy's bald spot.

If you start the video at 14.50 the oil cooler is the only thing hanging down, the oil filter base is attached to it though if thats what you meant.

I'm looking all over the diagrams at fordparts.com and I'm only seeing cooler body, filter base, and gaskets. No regulators.

Don't know what year truck he's working on, but that is the oil pressure regulator on the block side of the oil cooler header adapter. The earlier trucks could have that fall out while the later ones got the snap ring retained version (along with the bypass valve that used to always fall out on early trucks). Those parts are not sold separately (you have to buy the whole thing):
Oil Filter Header (updated snap ring retained bypass and regulator valves) (Ford) F81Z-6881-BA Tousley Ford Parts Online will probably have the best price on it. Cheers! |
