I have a 1995 powerstroke with AO injectors. I replaced the injector o-rings in january due to oil back feeding into my fuel tank and drained the oil pan. truck ran fine for for 4 months than on start up it would smoke white-ish smoke at start up until engine warmed up, and had no power.
i thought it might be a injector issue so i got a free 99 7.3 motor with newer AB injectors in it so im swapping them over (custom tune from DP going to be ordered once installed).
I started pulling the injector harness 2 cylinders from pass side when first start up and pin pointed to 2 injectors that were acting up. pulled the injectors and found the hold down bolts wernt TIGHT but snug

they were torqued down when o-rings were done. when pulled the ends of injectors that sit in cup were covered in carbon. injector cups dont look cracked or anything.
My QUESTION: would my injector cups still be okk or should they be changed out.
