Random misfire and lack of power

Every so often upon start up and after coming back down to idle the truck will shake like it has a misfire. It occasionaly will also feel like its lacking power. I have no check engine light on(I honestly dont know if it even works tho). Yesterday I pulled the connectors off the valve covers for the UVCH and found that they had oil inside the connectors. This leads me to believe that the internal connectors are worn and allowing oil to seep thru. Is that a good assumption? Ive done a lot of reading and looking around and Im really about ready to just start throwing parts at it in order to cure this issue.

Any addvice is greatly appreciated.
