Edge Evolution Question-LOTS of smoke.

Hey guys. I have a 1995 7.3 f250 manual tranny with 194,000 on it. I just got an Edge Evolution for free. I put it on the tow setting and there is a lot of black smoke. I know this sounds dumb... of course there's smoke right? but I mean there's a lot of smoke!!!! i can kick out smoke at any given speed and its black as night and steady. i gain alot of power only from the tow setting also. from what ive heard about stock injectors and the Evo it should be basically impossible for me to get this much smoke unless i have stage ones. I have intake and 4 inch straight pipe on my truck. I did an injector kill test with my local mechanic's scan tool and they all passed and as it killed each cylinder, it missed equally. is it possible that ALL my injectors are worn? or that my turbo is going out? i havent even tried the extreme or race setting.. any help would be appreciated!
