Crank case pressure? how much is good

I changed the injector o-rings on the weekend & relocated my crank case pressure hose. I still run it through the filter but even with a breather valve on the end of a 3' hose it is still spit oil & and a fair bit of pressure coming from the valve. Is this normal and maybe I should put it back the way it is. The reason i changed my o-rings was because of the smoke at start up. Now its not so bad on start up, but now when i put the pedal down I get blue & black smoke but not bad on start up. Is it possible t I messed up the plugs in the head or an injector not seated? or is this normal for a truck with 300,000kms or do I have a bad hole. Or how long does it take for the air to come out the system and would it cause that. Any help would be great.
