'95 7.3 powerstroke lift pump?

1995 E350 7.3 powerstroke.

The fuel filter light keeps coming on while I'm pulling a trailer.
I've changed the fuel filter, mopped out the bowel and am still having issues.

I'm suspicious it is the lift pump on the motor. The motor stopped once on the highway and then restarted, but I had to be careful not get up on the blower or the light would pop on inorder to get home.
Anyone else have an similar issue.

How hard is it to change the lift pump.
