Starter Reccomendations

Hey guys, been having some starter problems and after searching the forum ive found a few starters people seem to have had decent luck with, but my question is.

should i go with the high torque starter for 120$?

New Starter Ford 7.3 Dsl Powerstroke Truck High Torque | eBay

or get a factory one? i mean the factory one lasted a long time.

also, im on a budget so if anyone has a working starter laying in there parts pile and wants to sell it to get some quick cash, i would throw a used starter on. if not, ill probably just have to buy a new one.

thanks a ton guys

alright guys, checked around, online ebay for 120 for the high torque one.

or replacement OEM mistibishi from napa with LIFETIME warranty for 190.

LIFT - the setup is f250 with all 1 ton running gear.

the springs/ blocks front axles ect, everything under the truck is 1ton. and thats how high it sits.

the tires on it in that picture are smaller then stock, and next to a stock one its about 5 inches higher. i figure 6in lift

I would go with the NAPA unit. I put their lifetime warranty unit in my truck...

I would go with the napa one, that seems like a reasonable price. I just replace a starter on one of my dad's trucks and I belive it was pushing $300 at Ford for a reman one.

Try the Crank Position Sensor, its a common problem on these motors.
