Fuel pumps keep going bad!!!!!!

I am running my third fuel pump in three years. Im on my second one this year. The first one was the original pump, lasted about 12 years. The last two were from napa. What is going on with these pumps. I have a aux elctric pump that pushes about 10 psi before the lift pump but I only run it when Im running on grease. Could this added pressure be causing it or is it the grease causing it. The second pump lasted about 2 years and this last pump from napa lasted about 2 months.

I know I've heard that the mech pumps don't like pressure before them. But that's all I got.
