ok i just bought my buddys 97 7.3 its has 140k on a reman engine. at idle it has some blue smoke from tailpipe {not real bad} i was on my way home sitting at a light and i took off from the light up a hill and looked in my mirror and couldnt see behind me hard to tell what color it was it was snowing out. but then cleared up in about 15 sec or less.. and at idle seems to have maybe a start of a skip but not a dead skip. any idea??

im new, but i believe that it could be the injector o rings letting oil pass through into the combustion chamber creating the blue smoke.

Check and see if you got any oil on the intake side of the turbo. Could be the PCV valve or whatever you want to call it going bad. People have different names for it but it connects to your intake from the valve cover.
