96 psd wont start

Hey I gotta 96 psd. It wont start. The wait to start light, check engine, or any of the lights wont come on. Only the battery light will come on. And it wont fire at all or blow no smoke when its being turned over has fuel in the bowl.I took computer off another truck thinking that might be the problem but still the same thing with still no start. Any ideas??

No WTS light means to power to the PCM. Unplug the fuel bowl heater, replace the fuse for it, and try again.

^ what he said. I actually just had my fuel bowl heater short out last weekend, thankfully just before I got on the freeway. I would rather not have my truck shut down at 75 mph!

The fuel bowl heater is on the drivers side of the fuel bowl, about in the middle. It's about a 1/2" square connecter, and the fuse is a 30 amp maxi fuse.

You have to unplug the fuel bowl heater, otherwise it'll blow again. The heater shorts out.

When I was trying to figure out what went wrong, I pulled the fuse and couldn't even tell it was blown. I swapped it with another fuse, and sure enough, it fired right up for about 2 seconds, until the heater shorted it out again. Unplugged the heater, threw in a new fuse, and I was on my way!
