97 starting problem

i have to crank for 20 sec or so to get it to start. it is the same if it is hot or cold. this just started a couple days ago. once it is running it runs fine no smoke. i check hpop to see if it had oil in it after sitting and it does. i changed fuel filter and it still is hard to start. any suggestions
