squeal

I have a slight squeal when idleing, I have a suspision it's the tensioner,but how do you tell?

Pull off the belt, and turn each pulley by hand. Noise, grinding, a gritty feeling, or play in the bearings should tell you which one is screaming.
Make sure you take a look at the brake vacuum pump. Had my pulley blow right off a few month ago, leaving me without brakes or steering coming down a hill into a 90* bend .
