Question Low boost pressure help (1996 f-350 cc lb)

i have been looking for an answer this evening and found some information that i hope will get me going in the right direction.... but i figure asking a few questions wouldnt hurt.
on the highway at 2500 rpms im usually at around 4psi, when pushing abit harder the most ive seen is 11, i keep seeing people saying 17+psi as a max and im thinking its time to look into a few things
i have only upgraded my intake to a afe set up so far, new down pipe and straight pipe exhaust coming this week,
I read that one guy noticed a huge change just by cleaning his fpr screen and putting a new fuel filter in.... im not sure how that would make a big difference but im no expert.
as far as i know none of my boots are leaking, my turbo is in pretty good shape (barely noticeable chips on impeller blades)... air filter is clean... engine doesnt throw any codes...
it whistles very nicely beyond 1700 rpms, MPGS pretty descent (16-18 avg)
im gonna replace my fuel filter and clean the screen on the fpr tomorrow,
hopefully someone has an answer that doesnt include a new turbo charger, injectors, or anything else that is gonna leave a big dent in my wallet
thanks!

When I changed my fuel bowl o-rings and cleaned the fpr screen and did the fpr mod I noticed a BIGGG difference. Maybe your truck just needs some TLC. Let us know what the fpr screen looks like. Your mileage sounds pretty good too.
