Question on replacing lift pump
I read somewhere you need to get the cam in the right position or else you'll ruin the pump. If this is true I'm wondering how you turn the motor over to align it. By hand ?

I don't think that's true at all. The thing is that you don't want the pump tappet falling out and dropping into the motor. To avoid that, what we usually do is loosen up the pump mounting bolts and then rotate the engine by hand until the pump starts to lift up out of it's bore. After installing the new pump, make sure you tighten the bolts down evenly and even maybe rotate the engine again so the cam lobe is not pushing up on the tappet. Cheers!
