Broken powersteering bracket???
Today my power steering pump bracket broke. I was driving normal. Came to a red light and my steering felt tight. loss of power steering. Batt light on dash came on. Light turned geen and I pull across two lanes to get off the road. Power brakes are gone. I'm Thinking broken belt....? Power steering bracket is cracked and wedged and belt came off. It is dark and cold now, but tommarow after work I'll check all pullies to see if any are seized. Tow truck driver said it isn't uncommon for lifted trucks due added stress of larger tires(35" with a Dana 60 swap). I just want to know if any one has heard of this problem? Or if I'm just the luck guy who had a failing part? Note: I dont 4x4 or beet my truck.
