oil pressure gauge does show pressure, but it runs great...

Hello I have a 97 E350 Diesel with a Stock Engine and my stock Oil Pressure gauge is showing no pressure. I drove the van around the block and it seems to be running well.

On other posts I have hear members say that the gauge is just a switch and my interpretation is it's either on or off! But yet the gauge does move ever so slightly when excellorating. Which seems to go against the "Switch" concept.

Here are a few photos of some oil around the reservoir.

It is very difficult to check the level of the oil as this is a van and vans are fun to work on

Can anyone advise on how to instal a Oil Gauge and which one I should buy?

(It would be great if you could just post photos to the forum!)
