6.9 To 7.3 SWAP (fuel injection issue)

how it be..my first vehicle was a 1987 f350 with the old 6.9 IDI. Had it for nearly a year and the thing hydrolocked from bad head gasket..and the engine was TIRED. I am pretty much sentimentally connected to it and had decided on putting a 7.3 into it and have been wanting a turbocharged diesel. I recently just picked up a 97 f250 7.3 powerstroke turbo from a junkyard for 750 (just the engine) and it was supposed to be running and ready to go but appearently they were busting my ***. have nothing on it but the injector harness..electrically speaking. Im basically just stuck on what to do..I had just spent today tearing out lots and lots of harnesses out of a 97 van but it did not have the icm in it just harnesses still need to get that. Please i need some experts.
