Any ideas?

I have a 1997 f350 SRW 7.3 ~230k that is having some issues.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Scenario1(cold start) Truck starts fine and idles normally. I wait until til truck warms up, then take off and no problems.

Scenario 2: (cold start)Truck starts and idles fine. I immediately take off out of my driveway. No problems until i let off of the throttle about an 1/8 of a mile down the street at a stop sign. As soon as i take my foot off the throttle the truck starts running very rough and when I try to accelerate the truck lacks power and blows white smoke. After petting the throttle for another 3/4 of a mile, the symptoms clear up and no problems.

Scenario 3: (Warm start) No problems.

Sounds like the EBPV is sticking... When truck is warm, preferably after running it awhile, unplug the EBPV. This will leave it stuck open and should cure your issue...
