Hpop?

I have a 97 f350 5spd crew cab, its was running rough around 2300 rpms and idling rough, one day it was warming up outside and i went out there to go to work and it was spraying oil out of the back of the hpop. i took the oil pump off and took it apart and all the bearings inside were shattered. so i was wondering if a hpop out of a 95 would work cause i had one and put it in there and i cannot get the truck to start now.

it should work. you just have to check other things. have enough oil? sure you connected everything right? I would be worried where those pieces of shattered bearing went

Depends on when the 95 was built. 94 and early 95 HPOPs are different. Also, double check the bolt on the front of the HPOP, I have been fooled twice by one that felt tight but ended up being loose keeping the truck from starting.

96-03 hpop is interchangeable, 94.5-95 are a weird shape, something with the drain back Iirc, good luck tho.

I'd contact Joey at Terminator Engineering and see if he'll still take yours as a core, then get one of his T500 pumps.

Terminator Engineering

I know a guy in Orting who may have an HPOP, or could help you find one.
